i have been struggling with "all-day" nausea since i was 6 weeks pregnant. I am now 12 weeks and i'm starting to feel a little better. but still the past week i have been sick again. I just want to know if my choice on a whole-grain whole wheat english muffin with a 1/2 apple sliced is enough food for breakfast.

  1. Add some cheese and a glass of milk and for a pregnant woman that is a snack, not a meal.  You don't have to eat for two adult size portions, but don't starve yourself and your baby.

  2. Ignore Mr. Nibbles. You only really need 300 more calories a day and unless you're down to bones it won't cause a miscarriage to eat light.

That's great if that's what you could keep down, I would try to add a little cheese, like string cheese or cheddar, in small bites. The calcium and protein would do you good.

Hang in there, you're almost through the sick phase. Another week or two and you'll be fine.

  3. Normally you should also have some protein too, but anything that you can keep down now is good:) ...  GINGER is a wonderful, natural stomach and nausea remedy.  Try sipping some ginger tea or gingerale;  even snacking on gingersnaps will help.   I think cheese might be too "heavy" on your stomach now, but you might be able to tolerate some yogurt for protein, and the bacteria in it might help your stomach too.

  4. it is, if you a a pizza, a jar of dill pickles and a quart of Ben and Jerrys, ,,,

    Jeez.............

  5. why cant you eat the whole apple?

  6. There isn't much nutrition in that.  Maybe you could put a little peanut butter for protein on that muffin.  It will get better and you'll be eating bigger breakfasts soon.  Congrats!

  7. add a glass of milk to that and it would make a fine breakfast.

i had the some problem but i was sick for 4 months.

your not alone and soon your stomach will feel normal again and you will want to eat everything.

  8. When I was pregnant, I was told by my physician to have milk or something with a large amount of calcium before bed, and it would help alleviate morning sickness, or nausea.  It did work, and I was able to feel better within a few days.  If you are 12 weeks, it should be letting up a little very soon.  As for your nutrition, if you have a few days where you eat light, just make sure to eat foods that are rich in folic acid as that is the most important for your baby.  If you are concerned and are not gaining the proper amount of weight, talk to your physician, they may be able to refer you to a nutritional counselor☆

  9. nope.

how about a whole appple, steamed spinach and some orange juice.

doesn't matter how long it takes,  eat it.

minerals and vitamins are so very important at any stage of your and your baby's development.

and that grain in that muffin is merely processed,  nothing whole about it any longer.

you must get some serious natural foods down your neck.

  10. Are you nuts???? That baby needs more than that and that may be why you feel funky.try some baking soda in warm water in one gulp. then eat an english muffin and some scambbled eggs with cheese.

  11. You need to eat as much as you can get, an english muffin with apple is not NEARLY enough, you're eating for 2 now. There is a human inside of you, eat until you're full, and i mean full. You don't want a miscarriage
