  1. I ate shrimp, my baby is health.  But you are not suppose to eat any fish that could have high amounts of mercury, like tuna!

  2. Here is a great link that sums it up:

Not all are bad for the baby.

  3. Shrimp is actually really good to eat while pregnant, just in moderation. Fish is different, some fish have higher amounts of Mercury, and shouldn't be eaten such as Swordfish. Other fish such as Salmon is really good for you and is just fine to eat.

  4. Some fish have high mercury content and some have low, shellfish usually have higher mercury than many types of fish. Eating a regular portion of low mercury fish once a week is perfectly fine. In fact it may benefit your baby because it has tons of natural omega 3 fatty acids which aid brain development (makes you smart!).

  5. not all fish.....

the ones that contain large amounts of mercury for instance: tuna, mackerel, shark, etc.\

so stay away from those during pregnancy and breastfeeding

  6. mercury

  7. Autism is often confused with Mercury poisoning. Yes it can lead to that.

  8. Doctors and scientist are not even sure.  I ate tons of fish and shrimp with my 15, 10 year old and my 11 month baby.  The 15, 10 old are fine.  We will see about the 11 month baby.  It's weird how they say that is the cause.  Us older generation doesn't have autism.  So where did it really come from.  Vaccine shots
