  1. No, because your metabolism needs to be active all day.

  2. Usually no.  Smaller, frequent meals keep your metabolism working and your body can use up the calories easier in smaller quantities.  ALWAYS eat a little something in the morning to "wake you body up".  Otherwise, your metabolism stays resting.

  3. NO go with little meals to boost your metabolism

  4. yeah but only if it's breakfast

  5. Typically, you should eat four to five mini meals a day so that you are never starving and feel in need of a big meal.  It's an adjustment if you are used to eating a large meal.  Also, when you eat a big meal, you psychologically justify because it's your only meal that you can eat whatever you want.  While you could lose weight if your calories are lower than what you use in energy, you may be wreaking havoc on your heart and metabolism in the long run.  There are plenty of sources for effective lifestyle changes.  One that advocates eating mini-meals is www.flatbellydiet.com or you could check out weight watchers or even spark people.

  6. No. Eating one big meal will slow your metabolism and make you gain weight. Your body will go into starvation mode and start burning muscle for energy. which is really bad for your body.

  7. I wrestle for a sport and I am losing weight all the time. I find that it is easiest to lost if you drink a ton of water and you eat several tiny meals a day. That way you can get some of the food you want but also you consume less as long as you keep the serving sizes down.

  8. No...you should eat a few meals(proportioned right) meals a day to help keep up your metabolism. If you stop eating your stomach will go into starvation mode and start storing the fat and then you will gain weight.

  9. no you should be eating small meals every four hours, it's easier for you to digest then big meals.

  10. no actually it's not.

hershel Walker used to eat 1 huge 2-3 hour meal to gain muscle mass

but he was a world class athlete.

  11. No.

Any time your body says "im hungry" it will go into starvation mode and begin to store fat. Plus that, your not getting proper nutrian which can lead to allot of problems, including not being able to sleep properly, or act properly while awake.

When trying to loose weight its said to be proper to eat 4-5 meals daily, as a good rule of thumb, eat until your no longer hungry and you should be fine.

Atop of diet, you need your 30-45minutes of cardio fitness 3-4 times a week!

Follow that and you'll loose the wight effectively and healthy.

    Good luck!

  12. It's actually the worst thing that you can do. Your body will start holding on to the calorie stores it has (fat). You should keep a food journal of the food you eat now. Most people consume more than they realize. See what your daily intake is and then adjust it accordingly. The best way to lose weight is to eat frequent small meals throughout the day and do cardio first thing in the morning before you eat anything. Also lifting weights will help you build muscle which in turn will burn fat faster.

  13. they say that a lot of little meals boosts your metabolism and keeps your blood sugar from plummeting. so that is prob. more effective.

  14. absolutely not, you should eat several smaller meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism going and burn more calories.

  15. NO way eating one big meal will make you gain weight... try eating 5-6 small meals a day instead

  16. Lots of small meals throughout the day; maybe 5 or 6 healthy "snacks" is best.

  17. I agree with what everyone else has already said, several small meals a day are better than one big one.  I'd just like to add that if your hungry to the point of feeling starving, you run the risk of gorging, that is eating much more than you would if you were to have several small meals.
