I have never had a problem with Ebay. You do need to be careful though and check the sellers feedback and any terms mentioned in the advert etc.

it depends who you by the product off. When you click on the item look to right to see if they have some sort of star. If they do they are a Power Seller and very reliable. If they do something illegal contact ebay and they will ban the seller and report him her to the police and you will get a full refund. Good luck

ebay has proven very reliable for me... i would encourage to only do business with sellers that deal with PayPal.

the only time i got burned was i sent a money order because they wouldn't take paypal... i never got my items... and i never heard from them again!

It's a board question....  EBay itself is reliable...  but the seller might be selling stolen, counterfeited, or false advertising...  If you use pay-pal to pay for your item then you are protected from these sellers but it could be a pain in the butt....  You have to file a claim and wait for the seller to reply you and then if he refused to refund your money then you can escalate the event to a dispute and pay-pal going to look over the case to see whose false is it which result in full refund, half refund, or no refund (if it's your fault).  

Even if the seller agree to fully refund your money, you have to mail in the item to them first and they are going to refund when you provide the tracker number...  which you already lose some money when  you ship back the item... and the process can take weeks...

Overall Ebay is safe and reliable.... Just have to look out for those bad ebay sellers!!!

I have bought and sold on Ebay for over 7 years.I have only been ripped off a couple of times. The main thing is only communicate with Ebay through their message service on the website. You will get alot of spammers saying it is from Ebay or PayPal.

depends its up to u if u want to buy it but its a bit risky giving your/your parents visa/credit card number out in case its a weird person buti bought something their nd it was ok  so its kinda up to u

Yes ebay is reliable and I have used it several times with no problems.  however, keep in mind that the website ebay is only a middleman between you and the seller.  You should check seller's feedback and stay away from sellers who have alot of negative feedback.  Personally I don't buy from anyone who doesn't have a 100% positive feedback.  Just check the feedback first because if you have a problem with a seller ebay is limited in what they do to help you.
