  3. No! Ecology is the study of the plant & animal world around us, and how each relates to the other. You remove a bird and a special bug has run away population eat all the wheat in site and this causes people to starve.Remove a forest and there is less oxygen to breath, more rain run off causing more flooding.

    Ecosystems are communities of organisms and the physical environment in which they interact.

    Natural history could be considered this I guess because "natural history" can be defined as the study of animals or plants; the sum of the facts about the animals and plants of an area or class.
