Do you basicallly learn the same things, but focus on different aspects of consumer ed? Should I take both? Just curious, I need to take one next year though.

  1. I don't think so. Economics is traditionally a very hard class about how money works. There are many theories about it, and you learn a lot of statistics. Consumer education is usually a very easy class which helps you learn how to balance a checkbook, how to save money, what is involved in a mortgage and taxes, and things you'll need in everyday life. Only take economics if you're interested in doing something with math or science in college. Otherwise, you'll probably be better off knowing some of the basics when you get out of school.
