  1. ask royler if its worth it.

120 is a lot of money to me and i would try to find it cheaper if you could, but there can be no doubt that bravo has added a wrinkle or two to submission grappling with his new innovations on old moves.

like someone already said, you need to have a solid foundation already in some type of grappling as well as an insane amount of flexibility in your legs to make it work.

  2. its okay I wouldnt support Eddie Bravo though

  3. Get Blue Belt Requirements instead, much better for beginners. Bravo's stuff is for the super-flexible.

  4. Buy the book.  Rubber guard is good if you are extremely flexible, i use parts of it but its really good if you have a really good understanding of the basics and want to try to throw something unfamiliar at your game.  I would start with the book and see how you like some of the techniques and if its something you think you could use in your game then get the dvd

  5. not even, unless you have a lot of money.  I'd recommend jiu jitsu unleashed by eddie bravo (barnes and noble).  It gives you a crash course on all of bravo's stuff including lockdown half guard, rubber guard, twister side control, and a bunch of positions and submissions he invented.  its only like 25 bucks and it's really all you need to supplement your classical jiu jitsu.

  6. Mastering the rubber guard the book has everything that Jiu jitsu Unleashed has plus more and is better written and better illustrated. For books get Mastering the Rubber Guard.

HOWEVER: If you don't have a strong fundamental base in BJJ already you probably won't get much out of this book or the DVDs. The DVDs are fantastic and well worth the money, but without some BJJ fundamentals you aren't going to get very far with them.
