    if you think its a classified as a free good in your country then think of the 3rd world countries where clean water and free education is a bit of a luxury.

    education as the person above said we pay for through our taxes. in some countries education isnt free. or up to a certain level ...most stop at university level. from the definition above, that millions/billions of $ could definitely been used somewhere else like on entertainment and create a society full of dunces...happy dunces.lol.

    water maybe abundant (for now, cos i once saw a discovery channel documentary that our fresh water supply is running down) but it cost to purify and transport it. its not like you go down by the river and fetch a pill of water. we actually get billed for that stuff.
