  1. not all cases can be solved by shocks

  2. it solves boredom for us....those psychos really freak out when we strap em down

  3. tons of problems......from Schizophrenia.......to tumours.......to epilepsy....................ahhhh i dont even know where to start!

its very useful .............n its a huge far cry from what they show in the movies.........with the guy shakin n all!

now........a small current is passed for less than a fraction of a second..........n that causes an epileptic seizure which is used for the treatment of the disease!!!!!

  4. Yes Depression (Chronic) Only and some bipola etc.

  5. ELECTRICAL shock causes mental cases

  6. Absolutely. It only works with certain cases, though. It's even used for severe depression.

Electric shock stimulates certain areas of the brain, triggering an impulse which can do several different things. (Trigger endorphins, etc.)

  7. Yes. For profound clinical depression.

  8. In our modern times, it's widely rejected as a means to psychotherapy.

If it has ever been useful, I ignore how.

  9. nope not used but there fun as h**l when you're bored

  10. according to docs, if the patient is getting out of control, and he can hurt others or himself then electric shock might be useful to calm him down a bit i think..........

  11. Could be, but don't try it at home!

But seriously, one way they treat Parkinson, in very advanced cases, is they implant something in the patient's brain that generates electric impulses in regular intervals.  It appears to be effective, but the operation is very sensitive.

  12. it is useful for depression and psychosis

  13. ive heard physical conditions could be healed

    by being electricuted

    like people who cant walk

then BOMB eletricuted and they can

so mental problems sure i guess.

  14. nope

anything that can be done with so called shock "treatment" can be done in a more civilized manner.

it alters the brain by sending an electric current through it.

It is quite painful, and it usually causes trauma.

This trauma, is usually thought to make a person more stable.

but it really turns them into a zombie (you know what I mean)

  15. it is used mainly for massive depression, but then it becomes like a drug to the brain... see when the body gets shocked the brain releases endorphins which trigger that happy feeling making the depression lesson... however, much like drugs, the first time is fantastic, and the second time is nice... and after that you need more and more to get the same effects as it did the first time. And the more you use it the more dependent your brain becomes on it. So in reality unless you want to indulge in electro shock therapy more frequently for the rest of your life, it just makes your depression worse.

    hope this helped
