  1. Elmer's has been around a lot longer than than the rest of them combined. This does not make it a better product, but it does show no other product out performs. I think fresh glue is more important than the brand.. My guess is that they are all the same.

  2. What a bunch of bad answers you have received. Elmer's PVA glue is a fine glue for wood. Most all common wood glues have tensile strength within 10% of each other (even the much vaunted "Gorilla Glue"!), about 3600 psi. This amount exceeds the strength of most woods, so the choice is irrelevant, preparation and fit is much more important

To get about 50% more, use 5 minute epoxy. To get twice as much, go with 30 minute epoxy.

  3. I'll bet that if you look at the bottle it says it can also be used on wood.  The only difference might be that the yellow wood glue is supposed to be water resistant when dry.  You won't want to get your wood wet anyway.

  4. Would be a waste of time to use regular Elmer's.  Wood glue is much more powerful.

  5. Elmers white glue is casein glue.

    A common wood glue.

  6. no, the best wood glue is gorilla glue,

    elmers is for paper

  7. it might work but you would have to use a lot of it!      hope i helped :)

  8. i don't know if it is as strong as wood glue but it is pretty darn strong on wood, elmers is. It is what we used when we made stuff in woodshop in school.
