i believe if u concentrate on ur grammar (like-noun,pronoun,verb and other parts of speech) it is very easier atleast easier than the south indian languages! so if you know south indian languages then speaking english should not b a problem 4 u! ;-)

First of all don't try to think any language as a subject,,,, and it's very easy language. Just start from the basics and try to read English news paper which has got good articles, find meanings of new words in dictionary and write them down in some pocket diary,,, try to learn that words every hour from that diary,,,,  you  will surely fell improvement in control over English language

english can be an easy language if you focus on the communicative aspect but can get really tricky if you move deeper. When teaching kids give them the chance to use the language to communicate with other peers

since you're posting in the preschool section I'll talk about preschoolers...

and i will tackle one piont which is reading and spelling... we spend ages teaching letters and their sounds, we try step by step to train the children to blend the sounds together to form words and as soon as they grasp the idea ,and with all the phonics rules they have to learn, SURPRISE!, not all of the words go by the rule , ther are silent letters, "a"s that are pronounced "o"s, "gh"s that sometimes are silent and sometimes "f"s ...etc., actually most english commonly used words dont follow the rules!!! honey you'll have to just know them as they are... this is not the case with many other languages"like spanish".. for this reason i say  english is not an easy subject.

it really depends, because there are so man y things to learn! what language are you comparing it to? I  mean, it really isn't so easy concerning spelling, vocabulary and concerning pronunciation, grammar etc. But comparative to other languages, yes!

It depends on the person and their strengths. English always came easy to both my Sister and I, but I often wondered if that was because both of my parents excelled in English and my Dad worked for the newspaper for all those years. He was constantly correcting my English and use of proper use of words.
