Hey everyone, I got a packet in the mail today with like a 100 ways to make money from home and about half of them was companies for envelope stuffing. I really need a stay at home job and this so far looks real to me. Most of them don't require me to send in any money to do it so does that mean that they are real. Please help me with this and if this isn't a legit job then please advise me one some real legit stay at home jobs. Thanks

  1. Be very careful with that. There are many bad companies with envelope stuffing. But there is money in it .. But please be very careful

  2. If they are not asking for money now, they may later on down the line.  It does happen, and it is a possibility - however it's not likely to be something that you would just happen to get in the mail.  Most stay at home jobs are done by folks who either worked for a specific company or were acquiainted with someone who did.  Medical record transcription is probably one of the only tasks that are being offered for people to do at home.

Try it, the moment the ask for funding - say thanks but no thanks.

  3. Someone else just asked this question.  I will tell you the same thing I told them..

Gravy is correct. The companies that do hire for envelope stuffing do not pay you very well. Your looking at making 1 to 3 cents per envelope. If you think you'll make a lot put yourself to the test then.

Grab a few boxes of envelopes, a bunch of sheets of papers, a stop watch or timer. Time yourself for one hour. In that hour, fold each pieces of paper separately in a business style format. place them inside the envelope, seal the envelop and stamp them then continue on for one straight hour. Your fingers are going to hurt, your tongue will too. When the timer goes off, count how many you did. Then mulitply 2 cents (we will use the mid range amount) and that's what you get paid. Is that worth it? They claim you can make $12 to $20 an hour. Sure, if your family sits around the table doing this, then it would be possible. but other than that, no. And the stuffing isn't really steady. You turn them in and a lot of times, they tell you you did it wrong. How the h**l can you stuff envelopes wrong??

There are far better things to do in a more productive way and work from home. Envelope stuffing is a joke, and you won't make a sufficient amount of money at it.

I did this many moons ago and it does not make any real amount of money. I'd suggest you do something like we did and find yourself either a home job position, or start a home based business if you want to work from home.
