How much does a persons ethnicity play a role in applying to college?

  1. Not a ton, but there are scholarships.


  2. Not a major one. But being an ethnic minority is helpful with a lot of scholarship applications.

  3. Bigger than most people think. While they don't admit it, colleges quota. You can see that they take roughly the same percentage of white, asian, black, hispanic, etc. every year. What a coincidence!

    Recent studies show it's harder for Asians to get into top colleges and that they need highern SAT scores than white candidates. Black, Hispanic and Native American candidates get a boost at most colleges.
