  1. there is no environmental reason not to buy eucalyptus products...the oil comes from leaves harvested from trees, it does not harm the tree as they only harvest a small percentage from each tree, and the tree grows new leaves.

As for eucalyptus tree being endangered, there are a few species that are getting a bit scarce, but not on the endangered list, these trees are not used for oil.

The farming of eucalyptus tree for oil is a very environmentally sound idea, they are fast growing, hardy, and can be used for lumber when they get too big to be harvested for oil

  2. Um not really. The college near my house has tons of eucalyptus in it's campus. If you are buying eucalyptus products even when you're keeping well, then stop it. Eucalyptus products are mainly used when you have a bad cold.

  4. No, as a matter of fact some areas in CA are trying to get rid of that tree as it's a non-native tree.

    I personally think it's a pretty tree...

  5. probably, we're killing off everything else

  6. I really don't care if it is....................

  7. No, it is far from being endangered. It has been introduced to countries all over the world and has unfortunately poisoned the soil as far as other, native species are concerned. http://www.treesftf.org/resources/pops/W...

You may have come across a news item from Brazil (a country to which the eucalyptus was introduced artificially):
