We're having some debate in the office as to whether evacuous is a real word, what it actually means (if it is) and how to spell it. Please help us.

Suggestions also for things it could mean if it isn't a real word.

  1. Vacuous is the real word that is listed in the dictionary.

    It means empty of matter, having or showing lack of intelligence, interest, or thought; stupid; senseless; inane

    characterized by lack of purpose, of profitable employment, etc.; idle

    Evacuous might be used for the same meaning, but is a mis-statement of the world vacuous.

  2. there's evacuate or vacuous, but not what you said

  3. Evacuous is the plural form of Demonic Cyber Assasin Cows or Evacucow.  Many a brave soul was extinguished by their demonic blood thirst and poisoned milk spray...but that battle takes place in the future.

  4. I don't think there's such word as that.

    You're more likely talking about EVACUEES? It means people who evacuated from a dangerous area? ^^;;

  5. Vacuous - meaning empty of meaning or lacking in substance.  (eg I asked a question on Yahoo Answers and got only vacuous replies.)

    People are possibly putting the e- on the front because e is a more common letter to start a word with than v.
