Is event planning under the job scope of corporate comm manager? ?

right now im a journalist. im thinking of expanding my career into corporate world. i ws offered to be a corporate comm manager. among the tasks said are planning event, writing a report abt the event for the upper management, writing news n publishing it in an internal magazine. fyi, im a laid back person n doesnt talk much unless needed (work n socializing). do u think im fit for the corporate comm position? how different is the work load compare to a journalist job? i knw tht all jobs are not easy, but compare this two, which one is easier?

sure journalism is easier! all you need for that is an open mind and ability to see/describe things clearly. but management of any type has its own priviliges, and good chances for future promotions! If I were you, I would choose the latter!
