900's -1970s -- African Americans ( Segregation)

1940's - 1980s-- communists ( older people are still programed to fear them, lol)

1990's -present-- Muslims (9/11)

When are we going to think on our own. These people are not inferior to Americans there just different.

This past decade democratic countries have killed more people than communists.

And "Christians" have killed more than Muslims.

Who do you think is, or should be the most feared people in the world?

  1. You are making a great point. Degrading other racial or political groups never stopped. the reason is that the US sees itself as the center of everything (Ethnocentrism), and everything else should be referenced with respect to its position. As to the question of why we have fear is because without fear, our government will not be able to justify colonial expansion, military buildup, etc.  My thinking is that we should  fear ourselves the most because of our ambition to dominate, and how the world may respond in the future. In the past, we broke the will of countries that challenged our supermacy such as Japan, Germany, and the Soviet Union. Recently, we have been able to divide Europe into blocks, support conflicts in the middle east,  and conequently weaken these nation, which enabled us to maintain our superiority. However, history prove to us that every great empire collapsed at some point due to its unreachable ambitions. Hope that answer your question.

  2. I think the our(American) Government should be feared the most.

  3. Be careful of absolutes.  Some experience inter generational prejudice.  The logic varies according to ancestry and economics.

European immigrants from primarily Germany, Ireland, and Italy were used politically to displace the Heirs of Emancipation  (African Americans)in the US.  This adverse dynamic is further exacerbated by the institution of Jim Crow.  Elimination of access to economic viability financially represses wealth opportunities for African Americans.

The immigrants were escaping economic conditions in Europe.  Their assimilation in to US is perceived to require discrimination against African Americans.
