I heard that by feb u need cable vision like io or verizon. is this true

That is not correct.  You have options.  If you have a old analog television and do not subscribe to cable or satellite then you will need to purchase a converter box so you can receive local digital channels on your television.  You can use a indoor or outdoor antenna for the television.  Converter boxes cost around $60 at most retail stores and you can get a 40 dollar debit card off at

    If you have a HDTV with a digital tuner built in then you do not need to purchase any converter box.  Your television set is already ready to receive digital channels.

    However if you are currently a satellite or cable customer then you will not need to buy a converter box.  Your cable or satellite company will provide the digital channels for you.


  2. No if you have TV through cable or satellite, don’t worry your fine. It only pertains to people that use antennas. If you use an antenna then you will need to get a converter box for your TV.  There are government programs to get coupons for these converter boxes. As far as I know they are already in some wall-marts
