Is everyone aware that flight attendants can fly without a medical certificate and with a criminal record?

Personal knowledge of american eagle FAs flying with seizure disorders (Passing out when the plane was landing) as well as being on probation for assault on a family member with a deadly weapon originally a felony charge later reduced to a misdemenor Guess its ok to fly the friendly skies as long as you arent a felon even if you may pass out at any moment

Maybe the understand that everyone deserves a second chance and the right to earn a living. I am sure since they could be sued, they are not worried about the risks of employing this person. Hey, why don't you put a hiring ban on these types of attendants at YOUR airline?

No, I wasn't aware.

And no, I don't care.  Don't see that it makes a difference - if the airline considers the person safe and properly trained, then that's good enough for me.  

There's plenty of criminals and unwell people among the passengers....one more or less onboard makes no difference!
