  1. It´s not.

Before Spain adopted teh Euro, it was cheaper, but in the last years things have changed a lot.

It´s a great country with lots of beautiful things to see, though, so enjoy your vacation!

  2. No, its not really. Spain is not Mexico it is a first world European nation. The only way it would be cheaper is if the exchange rate is good for the dollar vs euro

  3. No, sweetie, not anymore. I am from Spain (I have been living in the US for a while) and unfortunately, the current exchange rate dollar to euro is not benefitial for Americans right now, in other words you get  less of a euro out of a dollar. It used to be the other way around though before we adopted the euro as our currency, but those days are gone!

Nonetheless, there are still some things that you will find cheaper in Spain than in the US. In general terms food and drink will be more affordable BUT watch out for tourist places, they tend to be pricey for not so good quality. On the flipside, you do not need to tip in Spain, isn´t that great!

Public transportation abounds and it is affordable too.

Spaniards are trendy in their clothing style so I find clothes to be more expensive in Spain.

Taxes are included in the price unless told otherwise so you do not need to calculate any extras to your purchases, what you see is what you pay.

One last piece of advice, drink lots of water, this summer is being  overly hot and a/c is not as efficient as in the U.S.

I miss Spain so much, I am envious! Enjoy your vacation!

  4. Hm you should visit spain and then compare the prices

  5. No,

  6. No.  But considering the quality of most things there, it's usually worth it.  Spain, however, is amazingly cheaper than France.

  7. No, I don't think so, Spain, Portugal and Italy I think they are the cheapest countries of the European Union, but not so cheap, remember that nowadays, the Euro is more expensive than the Dollar...
