ok.. here's why im stressed:

last thursday was a bad day. At school we had finally got our textbooks, and me, having a lot of academic classes, had 6 textbooks to carry all the way to class! then my muscles started to weaken. In the classroom, we had to get our new locker info, the only problem is, that it was a couple of minutes before the bell rang, and i had to leave most of my books on a table in the classroom!!! then when i finally got to 2nd period i felt overwhelmed. i felt as if i was gonna fall out. i couldnt hold my pencils or anything! and whats even worse is that i lost my locker infomation!!!! So then i ended up going to the clinic and going home, and my mom took me to the Emergency room, only for me to be kept overnight. So i had to miss school on friday AND am not allowed to return to school until tomorrow. So, i am now worried about the following:

Im worried that my textbooks are gonna be gone from where i put them in my first period class, but it was on a table and im SURE it was a safe place!

Im worried how my first period teacher is gonna react when i tell her that i lost my locker info, and because SHE has my locker info also, i have to ask her for my combination.

Im worried that i've missed out on a whole bunch of work.

PLEASE someone tell me it will be ok? what can i do??

  1. Of course it's going to be OK.  All of the above problems you've mentioned are very fixable, nobody's died and you are not going to get kicked out of school for loosing a few books.

As you go through life you will get stressed, thigs will happen to stress you out you will never be able to change that but take it from one worrier to another the only thing we can do is try and control how we react to such situations.

When you go in tomorrow you might find all your books, you might find none, your teacher might get angry or she'll might not (either way she'll give you your locker info again).  You might go into a class and understand everything or nothing, you have no control over these scenarios.

However if you loose all your books I'm sure they can be replaced, if the teacher's angry you can explain to her that your only human and make mistakes and if you don't understand something in class you can ask the teacher to explain it.

We have choices but we will never stop worrying I'm afraid.  When you think about it it's a good thing, if we didn't worry it would mean we didn't care.

    Hope tomorrow's better! :)

  2. I would like to think every thing is going to be OK so I will say yes. Sorry to here that.

  3. Ask a friend to look after your textbooks. About your teacher, I'm sure she will be understanding if you tell her about your problem. and one more thing don"t be stressed. Enjoy your school day...=)

  4. People are more understanding than you may assume.  Don't worry about anything except your health, and if you get flack for any of the above just write to me okay?  It sounds like you may be overly anxious, and possibly even had a panic attack.  I had one at the age of 12, but I never got help until my 20's because it was misdiagnosed all the time.

  5. Yes, everything is going to be alright.  Starting school is uber stressful, You sound smart enough to catch up real quick. You can relax and enjoy the rest.  You're pretty  much right on the books.  Deal with it tomorrow.  Occasionally it works out, like someone noticed what happened and saved them for you.

  6. I'm sorry you're so stressed about everything. But, it's perfectly natural. The first couple of weeks back at school you're bombarded with everything! You have to find your classes, buy your books, and you're meeting new people. I don't understand why you went to the emergency room. Did you have a panic attack? I'm sorry that things haven't gotten off to a good start. Try and relax. Clear your mind. Then write down everything you have to do when you get back to school. When you have stuff written down, you don't have to worry about forgetting things.

Everything WILL be okay. I promise you. I accept emails if you want to email me, I'd love to hear how you got things worked out.
