Not in the scientific sense by the way. I mean more towards theology and philosophy

  1. Depending on who you ask, it could be one or the other. Atheists tend to embrace evolution as proof against God. Many Christians are turning onto the idea that evolution is the mechanism by which God created diversity in the animal kingdom. Literalistic Christians reject evolution outright.

  2. Yeah. Another nail in the coffin for the Bible.

  3. I have never understood why fundies insist their god was too unintelligent to have used evolution as his tool!

Part of the reason people ar leaving the church is that because Christianity is bundled so tightly to intelligent design that as  more and more is proved for evolution the less credible is intelligent design and therefore Christianity itself!!

  4. Its proof of a vivid imagination of unbelievers.

" By the Word of the Lord were the heavens created, and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth....  For HE SPAKE AND IT WAS DONE;  HE COMMANDED AND IT STOOD FAST". (psalm 33:6-9)

  5. Depends on where you start from, don't you think?

If you're already pre-disposed to thinking one way or the other, the freedom to choose which way you view it is already determined by the answer you want to hear...

  6. Neither, evolution does not prove or disprove a God or gods.

  7. i wouldn't say that it's proof against god, but it's definitely evidence that the bible has inaccuracies (and there are more).

unless god is a primate who created us in his image

it may be just a "theory", but it is widely accepted and according to scientists it is basically the only explanation that makes sense. it IS NOT a means of proving or disproving god.

  8. I don't think it's proof of either.  Evolution is just scientific theory used to explain natural phenomenon.  It's based on collected data, not philosophical speculation  What's god got to do with it?  If god is real, I think he should stop hiding like coward.

  9. STOP DOING THIS TO EVOLUTION!!!

Evolution has nothing to do with a deity one way or the other.

Evolution is just an observable fact. That's all.

  10. It really should be no different in that respect than chemistry or physics.

    Consider rainbows, for instance.

  11. It doesn't prove anything, because it is a theory. It only shows how it could be possible that God doesn't exist.

  12. Hey princess,

I would actually have to agree with the atheists on this one.  Evolution is not proof of anything, except itself.

Although, personally, i do think that evolution was the method by which our Gods created us.  The driving force behind natural phenomena.

And asking these people to step outside the box a little.... c'mon, you should be laughing at that statement as much as i am LOL ;-)

  13. You can believe what ever you want about evolution just know that Christians are the unsuccessful mutations. The hybrid species of the homonid race.

  14. It is neither.  Evolution is only proof of itself.  Evolution is, thus evolution is.

Rather, the argument for the existence of God can be made regardless of whether evolution is considered.

The 'Proof of the Existence of God' is a logical impossibility.  So is the 'Proof of the Non-Existence of God.'

  15. Evolution has nothing to do with God. It is how man tried to explain how we came to be. Besides, think hard. If it were true, we would still be evolving, wouldn't we. What life on earth does is ADAPT. NOT EVOLVE, ADAPT.

  16. Neither evolution is not real but made up to explain where we came from because people refuse to believe God.

  17. c) It is proof of platypi

  18. Seeing as the Bible never said that God created single cell creatures and set them on the path of evolution towards all the creatures we see today.... I'd say that, like everything about God, there is no proof of him existing at all much less creating anything.

  19. first you have to prove that there are such things as 'God'

  20. I would say it's more of a process.

God has to obey all the laws of nature He has created. So... "science" actually is God's way of creating things.

  21. I gravitate more toward the latter.

Let's talk about Abiogenesis instead.  It's far more meaningful to R&S.

  22. If we evolved from monkey's and we were made in the likeness of god, than it could only mean that monkey's are godly beings.

Bow down to our ape overlords.

  23. It really doesn't point to either, if you ask me.  It's just evolution.  things change over time.  Big deal.
