A friend and I were thinking about Kids! Management, but aren't sure if that's the best way to build our resumes. Her family friend said it wasn't a good idea, but I'm not sure. Please only answer if you have experience, thank you :].

  1. theres nothing wrong with doing some extra work, but it doesnt necessarily push you forward career wise, although it can be fun.  you don't need this website though.  anyone can be an extra and you can find out about opportunities for free.  you dont need to pay someone for what is public knowledge.  I agree with the other poster that it largely depends on what area you live in... is anything even filmed near you?  if so, you can find out about it on your own.  don't sign up.

  2. you mean like managing kid actors and stuff? im a little confused by your question- sorry... but if that is what you mean than no- sorry to say but generally experience (more and more auditions ...) is the best, simplest way

  3. Extra work is a good way to build an acting resume. Commericial work is also good, and can look especially impressive on a resume, Acting in commericials especially if you live in New York or Los Angeles can get you noticed and possibly other deals such as on tv or in cinemas.

Actors, such as you, in union commercials are paid lucrative amounts, which are porbably more than those serving as extras.

You should look for auditions to be in commercials, and try to apply to them.

    Best of luck!

  4. Extra work is a good idea.  But what you will get out of it is limited.  Great way to learn your way around a set and see how actors work.  But don't expect anybody to be impressed by it on a resume.  Anyone can do it.  Once you've been an extra ten or fifteen times you've gotten everything you're going to get.  BTW, do you live in NY or LA?  If not, there is no work to speak of and this company is just going to take your money and you're not going to get anything out of it.
