i started wearing eyeliner when i turned 13 now im almost 14 (in december). I've heard that wearing eyeliner can cause wrinkles. is that true? I always care for my face and i cant stand it if i get one pimple. i have to have my face perfectly clear all the time (its like OCD), so i dont want wrinkles from eyeliner ruining that. so can eyeliner really ruin my eyes and cause wrinkles? And if there is something you have to do so that eyeliner wont ruin your eyes, can you tell me? Thanks soo much!! 10 points best Answer!

  1. stick it into your eyes and we'll see.

  2. No, it doesn't give you wrinkles.

But when you wear it all the fallout can gather in wrinkles below your eye and make them appear deeper.

Just wipe some makeup remover under your eye to get rid of that problem.

  3. It depends on the eyeliner really. Different people have different reactions to eyeliners. You should try buying ones that are tested my dermatologists. It'll tell you on the box.

About the wrinkles, it depends how you put apply your eyeliner. If you pull your bottom eyelid when putting it on the bottom, that'll cause wrinkles. You should pull from the top of your cheekbone to put it on.

  4. I doubt eyeliner will give your skin wrinkles, but I use nothing more than nailpolish. I can tell you however that most brands use rather caustic subtances, and skin damage IS always a possibility of sorts. You'd know if yours wasn't toxic for the manufacturer would cover the tube with writing extolling its healthiness.

Oh, ok, so it does, but because you tug your eyelids while applying. Read this thread and use due care in application, then. Also, do think about what you use. Seriously, so many solvents...

  5. Don't use it in excess, and you'll be fine! Jabbing it into your skin, drawing all over your eye, and using it every single day can't be very good, but using it sparingly, lightly, and gently should be fine!

  6. When your putting on eyeliner and you pull the upper lid to help draw the line, that will eventually become wrinkles. Basically if you pull or "mutcher" [if that's the right word lol] your skin a lot, it will become more sensitive and most likely cause wrinkles. Hope this helped!
