  1. Your question is your answer..Example...My team is the Raiders.  There was a time that it was the only game I cared about.  Since I started fantasy football, I am interested in many games every Sunday.  Before I could care less about the Titans Texas game.  In Fantasy, I may have Andre Johnson on my team and my opponent may have Lendal White on his..This makes that game way more of interest than before.  I have a 15 man roster with players from many teams.  My opponent has the same.  I thought I loved pro football before fantasy.  Now every game on Sunday, Monday or Thursday means something when I am tracking stats for my players and my opponent's players.  The NFL has bought into it.  There are updates for fantasy all through the day during the NFL..It is great for fans.  I watch more and have more to root for all season.

  2. i think its much better for sports fan... you can easily have a team you love and root for and play fantasy.

but fantasy gets you into ALL the games.. not just your teams. you learn alot more about the players and the teams.

  3. Not really, though I do appreciate that it annoys some people.

    1. It brings fans into the sport.

    2. Fantasy players take an interest in games other than ones they would normally follow as a fan of one team.

    3. Fantasy players have a depth of knowledge about all players, and become fans of the sport.

    4. Fantasy sports has become a multi-billion dollar business.

I've played fantasy sports for 20+ years, and I remain loyal to my teams above all.  Most of us are able to mask the excitement of seeing TO score against our defense...

  4. It really depends on the person.  Some people get more involved as more than just a part time fan.  Other people stop cheering for their team and start cheering for players instead.  It is making sports more about individuals than teams.

  5. It can be a bit conflicting when your team plays against some of your fantasy players, but that's the joy of fantasy football.

  6. no its not bad for sports fans. people will still root for their team as well as certain players on other teams. if one of those players are on the other team that your team is playing i"m sure that wouldn't make a differance.

  7. I believe it is the exact opposite. I think fantasy football brings in the leisuree fans, and makes them pay more attention to the game, and to other teams around the league. on the contrary, I think it is great for the game of football.
