You have 2 sphincters in your a**s.  The inner sphincter is under autonomic control and the outer sphincter is under somatic (conscious) control.  I f**t will slip passed the inner sphincter as this sphincter will open automatically due to pressure sensors.  The outer sphincter, however us under voluntary control which means that you can consciously hold it shut, thus not permitting the f**t to escape.
