  1. ya cows r the #1 contributer to global warming wit they stanky asses weird but true!

  2. Global warming is associated with the planet changing itself and adjusting. Farts do not alter a planet's climate unless you and everyone else on the earth ate Jack in The Box, McDonalds etc. and drinking gasoline. In that case, maybe if everyone ( all 7 billion people farted at once in a single intestinal atomic thunderous boom) if we survived the nuclear holocaust and fallout from that human waste bomb maybe in a slim chance would we effect the planet.

  3. Yes absolutely try to eat less beans

  4. Wow.

Probably not, but global warming enthusiasts will probably say it does.

  5. We know that methane in the atmosphere has been increaseing, either because more methane is entering the atmosphere, or because it is not oxidizing to CO2 and water.

Converting surplus grain into meat does suggest a source of increased methane. So does any thawing of the far northern deposits of methane- hydrate .

Our extraction of  methane (natural gas) is intended mostly to provide us with fuel but we do lose some.

So we have multiple contributing causes of increased methane, a GHG.

Most of  recent increases in methane output will be controlled by very high prices for grains we are now seeing, unless people just jack up the amount of money they spend on meat.

However, within a short time, methane escapoing from the arctic will so eclipse the amount coming from meat production that meat production will be irrelevant.

Burning the gas from city dumps may also be a great idea. That too is mostly methane.

  6. I'm afraid to say.  Every time I comment on this I get a Violation Notice from one of the deniers.  It must be a deeply personal issue, like Al Gore.

  7. Yes, it is.  I do my part in solving global warming by cutting back on tacos and burritos.

  8. yes, methane contributes to global warming.

  9. Actually, cow farts (or was it pig farts?) are a leading contributer to methane build-up in the upper atmosphere.

  10. It is cow farts that are the leading contributors to excess amounts of methane gas

  11. Yes, a wee part nevertheless.

  12. well actually it is, but it doesn't effect the earth too much. it's mainly the cows more than humans. it's because we expel methane in our flatulence.

  13. If it stinks bad enough! lol

  14. One of the gases found in farts and burps is called 'methane'. A certain amount of methane in the atmosphere is natural, and is a good thing. Along with other so-called 'greenhouse gases' methane collects in the sky and traps warm air around our planet.
