  1. No, it is not accepted.

  2. yes but a weak one, why would a person just keep himself hungry without praying!!!

i would even say that Salah is more important!!

  3. nope fasting isnt accepted

  4. erm some say no its not accepted... but i am not sure.....

but they are obligatory so we should do it everyday :)

    jazakh Allah khair

  5. I don't think so, but the prayers are still obligatory; there's no excuse for missing them unless it is reasonable.

  6. yes. i accept it.

  7. Anyone who does not offer their five obligatory prayers regularly from the age it becomes Fard will be asked why on the Day of Judgement, and punished accordingly by Allah. The minimum requirements are set out in Islam for the Muslim to be an established Muslim by doing those things, which are the 5 pillars of Islam. Prayers and Fasting both come under this category. Allah knows best. If you do one without the other you are not fulfilling the 5 Pillars of Islam, so it'd be incomplete. One should strive to earn the rewards and blessings that are vastly available in the month of Ramadhan. What's the point in just fasting when there is so much more one can do to bulk up their rewards account, and also on good deeds?

  8. There is a hadith that says the difference between a muslim and none muslim is salah. So I don't know.

  9. Prayers are fardh! Many people think that ramadan is just about not eating. Its the cleansing of the soul by abstaining from evil, wrong doings and wrong doers.

  10. No, because fasting is lower in rang than prayer.

    1. Faith

    2. Prayer

    3. Fast

    4. Zakaah

    5. Hadj.

For every step (2 -5) you should have step 1. The same with Hadj if he wants to perform hadj he should pray (step 1- 4) (at least within the hadj) to make it acceptable by Allaah.

You have a order to pray when you have reached the age of 7 and be punished if you don't do with the age of 10. Why would the punishment (for you) stop if you have reached the age of 11 or older? What has made you stop praying? The same apllies for fasting. But if you don't pray, you won't be regarded as muslim. Don't you feel any taqwa for doing so? Where is your Ihsaan?

    ======================================...

The Ramadaan fast, and indeed any righteous deed, is not accepted if you do not pray. That is because not praying constitutes kufr as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Between a man and shirk and kufr there stands his giving up prayer.” Narrated by Muslim, 82. .

No righteous deed is accepted from the kaafir, because Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“And We shall turn to whatever deeds they (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners) did, and We shall make such deeds as scattered floating particles of dust”

    [al-Furqaan 25:23]

“If you join others in worship with Allaah, (then) surely, (all) your deeds will be in vain, and you will certainly be among the losers”

    [al-Zumar 39:65]

al-Bukhaari narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever forsakes ‘Asr prayer, his deeds are in vain.” (al-Bukhaari, 553). What is meant by “his deeds are in vain” means that they become invalid and will not avail him anything.

This hadeeth indicates that in the case of one who does not pray, Allaah will not accept any deed from him, so the one who does not pray will not benefit at all from his deeds, and no good deeds of his will ascend to Allaah.

Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said concerning the meaning of this hadeeth: “The apparent meaning of this hadeeth is that those who do not pray are of two types: those who do not pray at all, which renders all of their deeds invalid, and those who do not pray some days, which renders his deeds on that day invalid. So the loss of all good deeds happens to those who do not pray at all, and the loss of some deeds happens to those who miss some prayers.” From Kitaab al-Salaah, p. 65

Our advice to the brother who asked this question is to repent to Allaah, to feel regret for his negligence in his duties towards Allaah for exposing himself to His wrath, anger and punishment. Allaah accepts the repentance of those among His slaves who repent to Him, and forgives their sins; indeed, He rejoices greatly at that. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) has given glad tidings to those who repent when he said: “The one who repents from sin is like one who did not sin at all.” Narrated by Ibn Maajah, 4250; classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh Ibn Maajah, 3424.

So he should hasten to do ghusl and pray, so that she may become pure both inwardly and outwardly. She should not delay repentance and say, “I will repent tomorrow or after tomorrow, because he does not know when death will come. he should repent to Allaah before regret will be of no avail.

“And (remember) the Day when the Zaalim (wrongdoer, oppressor, polytheist) will bite at his hands, he will say: ‘Oh! Would that I had taken a path with the Messenger (Muhammad).Ah! Woe to me! Would that I had never taken so-and-so as a Khaleel (an intimate friend)! He indeed led me astray from the Reminder (this Qur’aan) after it had come to me. And Shaytaan (Satan) is to man ever a deserter in the hour of need’”

    [al-Furqaan 25:27-29 – interpretation of the meaning].

sis Ninja what are you talking?? We are talking about fard duties (fast in ramadaan and the five daily prayers are fard) not waajib or sunnah duties...... It would be different if he asked fast will be valid if he didn't salaat al qiyaam or didnt have a beard. Since Salaat al qiyaam and beard isn't fard. Bu the question is clear over the five salaah and not over any other prayer (under the statement that he does the 5 fard prayers but not the sunnah prayers...)

    --------------------------------------...

Raw, you haven't got a valid reasonable reason in the time of Djihaad. Even when the enemy are facing you in the direction of the Kabaah. You must do the Fear Prayer in this situation.. So what about the prayer in NORMAL daily life? Even if you miss, (like sleeping) you have a order to make it as soon you remember. But how many of you are lying on the couch watching Arabic series on MBC4? Ya Allaah.

  11. i think yes...

    but im not too sure

  12. Insha'Allah the  fast's will accepted and one will get reward for it. However, they  will still be sinful for missing prayer. They are two distinct responsibilities - leaving one doesnot invalidate the other although it is a sin to do so

  13. NO WAAAAAAAAAY!!

if you dont pray your not a muslim.

its just like your starving yourself if your not praying.

  14. yeah but you still have to pray lol

  15. No it's not.

You're excused from fasting if you're sick, traveling, to young, to old, retarded (i think), and for women all the things above plus if you have you period or are pregnant.

  16. Rasoolullah(SAW) said the giving up of the five times Salaat a day, is the way of the unbelievers.

It is described in the Qur'ãn the disgrace that the defaulters of five times daily Salaat will be subjected to on the day of Judgment.

Five times a day Salaat has been daily ordained by ALLAH(SWT), and cant be exempted from the month of fasting in Ramadan.

  17. Not really. Th five daily prayers are obligatory, so is fasting during ramadan. You can't just pick and choose whichever one you want to do. Ramadan is not only about feeling the "physical hunger" but also going on a spiritual journey. Shaytan is locked up during that time, one of the last days is layalatul qadar so why wouldn't you pray? During Ramadan you are suppose to pray for forgiveness, try and go to taraweeh prayers so at  the end of the day you would get waaay less good deeds and more sins for neglecting the obligatory prayers.
