  1. i don't have the placer to know him, but i don't think he's soooo great as people says, i used to think he was, but after some statments he made this year (like when he lost to murray ) he made me change my mind.-

  2. I guess. I can't imagine him spitting out of a car window, or drinking juice out of the container. Or getting drunk and making jokes about his friends' mothers. Yeah, he's a gentleman.

  3. Yes he is. He always conducts himself in a classy, respectful manner. Maybe he doesn't always lavish praise on players who beat him, but he's never nasty about it. He's really a lot like Sampras that way. They both know when an opponent has done something special to beat them as opposed to when they've just lost through bad play. Praise from either of these guys is high praise indeed.

  4. yes. he. is.

  5. Very much, yes!

  6. yes he is and not only him its rafa aswel but not djoker

  7. Yeah, like Emme said his peers keep voting him as favorite each year.

  8. Yes he is ! A classy player and a lovely guy !

  9. i think he's a gentleman..

  10. I,for one think he is a true gentleman for various reasons. He achieved 12 Grandslams, 54 singles titles, made it to 10 Grandslams finals in a row, has been the numero uno in the tennis world and yet he never boasted about it. You  can also say that he never shouted from the rooftop, that he wants to be no.1 or is no.1. He respects the fact that he equaled legendary Bjorn Borg's record and always says it is an honor to be mentioned in the category of Rod Laver or Pete Sampras. He always respects Pete and that's why Pete thinks Roger is worthy of breaking his records. He also respects Rafa and vice- versa and even said about Djoko that he has achieved a lot at the age of 20, as compared to what he was at 20. I love and respect Roger and as a Fed fan, I truly wish for him to equal Pete's record. Go Rogi !

  11. YESSSS he's such a gentleman i loveeee him

  12. Of course he is, I never read so much praises about someone from his peers, if  you want to know more read these:

he never spit or yell, or get angry at his opponent if they do anything provocative like Stapnick dance after he beat him last weak. He respects every body he doesn’t show off even he has all the right to.

He always finds the time to stay to sign autographs to his fans no matter how busy he is, he is the best, as a member in his official website we enjoy his messages that he consistently send to us even his girlfriend does that too he is so thoughtful .

He has a charitable association and he is into AIDS prevention promotions and he visited them in hospitals in south Africa and he visited few of the most damaged areas from the tsunami  and he said he wants to visit some of his charitable projects in Africa soon because they mean a lot for him and that he is sorry that he can’t now because he is busy with tennis .

I can go on and on, he is the best, I love him and I wish that there is more people like him.

he always says that he wants to be a good role model for kids, he is so considerate.

I hope that luck would laugh to him again  and that he will regain his full health because there is no one in sport deserve it more.

    go rogi goooooooo

  13. He is the only player who sent James Blake a get-well card when he was in the hospital.

All the other players keep voting him as best sportsman of the year. Andy Roddick at Wimby said, I'd love to hate him, but I just can't -he's too nice!

And many other such comments. I'll let those who know him best speak.

  14. Yes he is. Like Dr. D said I can't imagine him saying anything bad about AnswererZ's mom like that she wears army boots. I can't see him spitting at an official or hitting a ball at a ball person or linesman. I can't see him do anything but be nice, honest, and sincere which is why all his fellow players on tour keep voting him the best sportsman & most gentlemanly player each year. He is a class act and has the respect and admiration of some of the Tennis greats like Borg, Sampras, Laver, Agassi, Edberg.

Sunnyde and Emme are Right On. And that Tennis tool is the best is wrong again. He certainly is building a track record for himself of always being wrong just like Fed did of always winning and being #1.

  15. He is the classiest person in tennis since Andre left.

  16. well it's easy to be a gentleman when your on top and winning. If his losses continue for another year and he's unable to win like in the previous years, I don't think that gentlemanliness will last that long.

    *EDIT*

In his early years he was a firebrand just like Novak is now at times. People compare the current Federer to current Novak. Thats' wrong. They need to compare Fed at Novak's age to Novak. I don't think they are terribly different. Someone had brought up a point of Nole being rude to the ball person during the aussie open against Fed. I guess the person was referring to the time when Nole was walking back to the seat to get a new racquet in between the game and the ball person was giving him the towel and he just said no using his finger wthout looking at the ball person. Well, I was watching fed vs step yest. and during a change over fed just tossed away an empty bottle. What he's got problems just putting it on the side or handing it over to be thrown away? No one will say anything about that because that was roger federer, I bet if Nole did it, someone would make a new thread about it.

  17. he is gentleman
