  1. think cave people. the more hairy one hits the less hairy one in the head with a club and takes her to his place...

how can you say that females evolution is not determined by male's power? how can you say that females are more emotional just because they wanted to be? it's more like males forced them.

feminism in my point of view is an ideal, turning back to the beginning and evolving freely. without male barrier. which is quite impossible. since that will be "imagined" by a tamed female already. kinda like phenomenology.

  2. I don't think so.

If it is, Did Lucy Burns, Dora Lewis and Alice Paul nag themselves right into prison to be tortured so we would have the right to vote?

  3. And why isn't ther masculinism?

  4. That's not what it was about, not what I feel it should be about. But crazies like the v****a monologues and Greer have made all feminist seem stupid and insane.

I don't want to be better than anyone, I just want to be treated the same. I love all people, believe in most people and hope that one day we can over come this "us vs. them" mentality. Because we need each other to survive, men need women and women need men. Even if you are g*y, bi, straight; we still need eachother.

  5. You only have to be female to nag it's not a feminist issue like a man letting the door close on woman or giving her the only available seat especially when pregnant or been on feet all day slaving over cookers and generally working fingers to the bone and not having time to wash hands after visiting the lavatory washing and ironing clothes all afternoon when all the male has to do is turn up at a place of employment to have a good time and enjoy himself discussing females that wouldn't give him a second glance because only she is the one that would have anything to do him and can't possibly believe he is going to watch the game at the pub instead of at home when it happens to be on same time as favourite soap.

  6. DEFINITELY NOT!

Feminism is an ideology and movement which stresses women's rights and equality. It is a noble cause. How can you simply reduce it to organized nagging?

Feminism not only have impacts on women's lives, but on other things such as science, literature, philosophy, threatre, etc-----in one word, the entire aspects of human civilization. On a temporal scale, feminism is inevitable, since every reasonable woman, at stages of history when conditions are right, would think about seriously fighting for their dignity. Feminism is therefore more of a social force. To say feminism is simply nagging is definitely unfair and degrading.

    EDIT:

I just came up another reason why feminism is not simply nagging. Feminism is not just about equality of women----but also IDENTITIES and VALUES of women. Women learn who they truly are and evaluate their potentials through feminist analysis.  You can't find out who you are simply by nagging, can you??

  7. I've always appreciated reducing things to their most simple elements,

On those terms, you are absolutely correct.

  8. feminism is a child of the eugenics movement.

  9. Now that's funny!

  10. Not in my opinion, although many women have misread it as opening the door to them nagging more.

  11. Feminism is the reason why you have the choice to be a stay at home mom or work or do both! Yes we are nagging, nagging to have equal rights, better wages, to not be fired or seen as less competent of pregnant. You just wanted to create drama

  12. Basically.

Which is sad, because that's not what it was always about. Before it was about equality, now it is about hand outs and being given advantages over men.

Before it was about letting women vote, not firing them when they had a child, letting them own land, and protecting them from rape and domestic violence.

Now it's about getting into golf clubs that are men-only, getting hand outs at work and schools, and being allowed to get pregnant by being irresponsible and kill that child. And always complaining that everything is a man's fault and unfair..

  13. Is anti-feminism organized petulant whining because of loss of special privileges?

  14. That pretty much sums it up for me. My friend had to take a class on feminism and she had to write a paper on why it's disrespectful to women for men to open doors for them! How stupid is that?

  15. LOL, maybe, but it does have some positives
