Is financial aid money transferable from one college to another?

i had applied at Houston Community College an had received financial aid for that school. But im now moving to Virgina and will be attending Northern Virginia CC. i have not started school yet. so i was wondering if my financial money is able to transfer over to Virginia.

anyone know?? thanks

It depends on the financial aid.  Obviously if it was given by a particular school, no it's not transferable.  State money is the same way, it won't transfer out of state.  Federal money should transfer.
