Hes 5'8. Im taller by one inch. usually lower weight classes like feather, welter have short athletes along the lines between 5'6-5'10 i think

Answer #1: If you are referring to his height as a welterweight, then the answer would be no. There are a lot of welterweights between 5'8" and 5'11".

Answer #2: You can find fighters of the same height in many different weight classes. Now the heavier divisions are more likely to have taller fighters than the smaller ones. You are not going to find many 6'1" welterweights as you would heavyweights and you're not going to find as many 5'10" heavyweights as you would welterweights. Still you can find common height (5'8" for example) in several classes ranging from featherweight up to junior middleweight.

on the height chart I think he's average for a male...lol

as far as his weight range he is perfect height for 140-147.

the problem is you have guys taller shrinking down to the lower weights 147 - 154 range that are making it seem like the acutall guys for that class are short.

anytime you have a guy like paul williams fighting at 147 or 154 and he's like 6'2...houston we have a problem.
