  1. Sure, foie gras is very much legal! I had it on Saturday night in a Gold Coast restaurant called Absynthe. The restaurant is pretty new and we had a 7 course chocolate degustation menu. I would have to say the foie gras was the best thing on the menu, if you havent tried it you really should! Its a bit like pate but much more flavoursome.

    They can serve it warm or cold. The one we had was warm. Im not sure how i feel about how foie gras is made. I dont like that they stuff food into the ducks, but then, how is that different to keeping chickens in cages or pigs between bars or fattening cows up before slaughter.

    Still just for the experience its definetely worth trying, enjoy!


  2. Yes it is now although I think it did used to be banned. It is still a bit controversial and certainly not on the top of the menu for animal lovers...
