Is food allowed on carry-on luggage?

Just checking, can I have a box of granola bars in my carry-on tomorrow? Thanks

  1. You are definitely allowed to carry a box or even 2 boxes of granola bars in your carry on luggage regardless if you're flying domestic or international.  If flying international, you don't even have to declare your granola bars because there is nothing in it that contains raw fruit or vegetable.  If you're flying internationally, most countries don't allow raw fruits, vegetables, meats and dairy for transport into their country because of insects and pesticides that might harm their farms or environment.


  2. Sure, as long as it's not liquid.  If you want to be really safe, buy something after you get through security at the airport.

  3. Yes.  If your flight is international you may have problems with quarantine at the other end.

  4. you can take it with you TO your destination,but not back to the U.S.
