  1. it might effect it dependin on how much food coloring you put in it but then again 9 times out of 10 it doesn't .....so good luck =] =] =] =] =] =]

  2. No, it won't hurt the flowers at all, it will actually tint the petals the color of the food coloring though. So if you have white flowers or a lighter color expect them to turn the color of the dyed water. But the flowers themselves will not be poisoned or killed by the dye... just their color will be affected when the stems suck up the dye and the petals change to that color.

  3. food coloring is all organic; i dont think it would negatively affect flowers.

  4. It doesn't hurt flowers in the least. That is how they do it at florist shops to change the color of white carnations into so many colors.

  5. From my experience, no...it usually (depending on the flower) just changes the color of the flower until the dye has dissipated...

  6. It will follow the same path in the flower stem and bloom that regular water does--therefore the color will go into the flower, but it takes a while.

  7. I don't think they'll notice they don't know what colour they are in the first place. If your worried use food dye

  8. I dont think so...Im pretty sure thats what we used in elementary school to turn our flowers and celery different colors

  9. many carnations are colored with food color in water. The stems suck up the water into the petals and create the blues and greens you see in the store so I would have to say no. food coloring is not bad for flowers but not all flowers will do the same thing as carnations do.
