  1. yes, amtrak has an overprice food cart (5 bucks for a soda) . so def bring ur own food. its a public place, if they allow others to eat so should you!

  2. yes. you can bring your own food on board.

  3. i think so!

    u

  4. Generally yes, with the exception of Accela Express which has free meals for all who pay the super high price of riding that class of service. Otherwise feel free to bring your own!

  5. Burger King burgers are better quality.

  6. yes, you can bring your own food on board. However, fast food would not stay good very long. I'd recommend bringing sandwiches or snacks which do not need to remain warm.

  7. You can put it in your carry ons for a fact! I ride the train a lot, many people bring snacks, beer, etc....

  8. If at all possible bring your own food. The only decent food on Amtrak is in Acela First class. And even there you're paying an extra $150+ for a 20 dollar meal.

Unless you're gonna eat it right away McDonalsd probably isn't the best choice though. It doesn't keep very well.

  9. It is amazing....the above answers are mostly bogus. Cokes on AMTRAK are $2.50. Cold sandwiches in the lounge care are $4.50 and the food in the diner is excellent. You are allowed to bring on board any food you want...there is no restriction. One of the answers said , "bring on beer." That is bogus also. No alcohol in any of the coaches. The only alcohol allowed is in the lounge car and the diner and of course if you are in a sleeper, you may consume in the compartment ONLY.

  10. Uhhhh, yeah, but I am not sure why.

The food served on Amtrak is about the same thing.

If yer gonna bring food on board, and you certainly can, bring somethign better.

  11. i don't see why not you can bring other food
