Is footage from the Flip video camcorder easy to edit?

Question

I am talking about the Flip video camera, that little one that has a USB connected and all you do is plug it into the computer. I was wondering if that footage is easy to edit....like can you import it into movies? Because I have a Sony Handycam and I knew that was a pain in the butt because the footage was not the right type of file and I had to convert it and it was HORRIBLE. I do NOT want to have to deal with that again so I was wondering if the footage is easy to edit, like is the right file? thanks. (btw would be editing with Sony Vegas)
