yes. unless you want the better version that provides a draft kit (you dont want it).

Competitive is if you want people who really pay attention and will try to win.

Casual is if you just want to play for fun and check it every once in a while.

In public leagues, there are 15 rounds. you draft QB, RB, WR, TE, and Defense. Some custom leagues are different. Usually the settings are to start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, and 1 DEF(such as Chicago, Baltimore, Green Bay, etc.).
