Is four nights enough to enjoy oktoberfest?

I'm going for the first time- camping on the festival grounds- will be there for the beginning- but want to know if 4 nights is going to be enough to enjoy it

Four days and nights are more than enough to enjoy Oktoberfest.  I would find other things to do in the area; however, because I think that you will be tired of it after a couple of days.

It is enough time but I agree about camping on festival grounds I have never heard of that either? Maybe there are some camp grounds on the out skirts or such of the city of Munich but I would guess you would love it. I did!

I stayed with friends though and did not camp. You may want to consider a Hostel or renting a room also!!

There is much more to it than just drinking alcohol too. The music is great most the time depending on which corner you are on and who is playing.

In Weimar where I like to go they have the Zweibal Markt or Onion Market. It is a big party with lot's of beer, entertainment and they sell these special Onion and Garlic made Kitchen or House ornaments. they are really beautiful.

one night is enough for just doing oktoberfest. there are plenty of other things to see in germany.

4 nights is planty of time to get drunk, enjoy it, do all them attractions and get some sleep and do it all over again.

Party in one of the big tents, lots of tourists their and have a walk around the whole festival area. A lot of attractions, strange things to eat and drink and lots of beautiful girls in Dirndl's (special womens shirt in Bavaria/Austria).

I would say yes, but I am confused about you mentioning that you stay on the festival grounds. It might be a new thing, but I have never heard of that being possible. The festival ground is on Theresienwiese, pretty much downtown Munich, not a camp ground anywhere near. Have fun anyway.
