Is freedom possible in marriage?

Yesterday Iceman asked people to give their definitions of freedom and mostly people wrote that freedom is to do what you want if you don't break law. If people want to be that free, how is marriage possible then?

  1. Being in a committed marriage is what many people want.  So, by your definition that freedom as doing what you want within the law, then these people do have freedom even though they're married.
