Question:

Is fried rice with chicken and chicken with broccoli with a sauce light after and operation?

  1. yeah.. stick to something a little bit lighter than that.. the fried rice part seems the worst to me..  


  2. It depends on the surgery you had.  If you had a tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, you should have soft foods for up to two weeks until the scabs heal to prevent a post-operative bleed.

    You should have received home instructions for aftercare when you left the hospital.  Read what they say.  If there are no restrictions, then you can eat whatever you want.  If any of these food give you gas or heartburn, then you should avoid them for a little while.  Some anesthesias give people gas anyway and you don't want to add to that!
