  1. people who buy gas guzzlers are niave and gullible, not stupid.

  2. I would say that generally speaking yes, there is a correlation.  People who buy gas guzzlers at this point are clearly not very intelligent, because it's abundantly clear that

    a) the lower your fuel efficiency, the greater your environmental impact.

    b) gas prices are rising rapidly, and with global warming becoming an ever bigger issue and peak oil a serious possibility, they have nowhere to go but up.

Buying a fuel efficient car is a clear sign of intelligence, in my opinion.  Not having a lot of money is not an excuse, because you can still buy an old used fuel efficient car.  Or if you really need a big car for some reason, you can also get a fuel efficient secondary vehicle, like a moped (particularly an electric one).

  3. I don't think so...

While I think that buying a fuel efficient is an intelligent choice, it may not be a choice everyone has....yet. Some things require bigger vehicles (towing large items, large families, etc.). Also, some people have limited funds and are not able to buy some of the vehicles that are out now.

  4. What? Fuel efficiency in a car i'm guessing, and no. many cars with traction control, aren't fuel efficient. and traction control is an intelligent option.
