Is fuel for air transport within the EU taxed?

If not why not! As normal people are taxed for not being 'green'.

  1. Yes, of course it's taxed.  They aren't the same taxes used for road construction, but they are taxed nevertheless.

    You forget, there is only one taxpayer: YOU.  If the airlines are taxed more, then your air ticket goes up.  Or if you never fly, then your air freight of fruit from Mexico is taxed more.

    No matter what, all taxes flow through to the taxpayer.
