Is fujifilm a good, reliable camera?

I need a new camera and i want one thats around $200, or a little more. I was looking at walmart.com and came across the Fujifilm finepix s1000fm and i wasnt sure if a fujifilm was the right camera to get. Im saying this becausei know that canon and Kodak are good cameras, i just wasnt sure about fujifilm. Also, the customer ratings all mostly have 5 stars and good reviews and they recommend the product. so my question is would you recomend it?

My first two digital cameras were Fujifilm and they were great! I've now moved up to a dSLR and its a sony and again it's great!

go for it you won't regret it.

Most of the new Digital cameras seem to have gone for large LCD displays and no view finders. This is a real problem in bright sun. Would suggest that you try to find one that still uses an optical view finder in addition to the LCD.

My camera has 5.1 mega pixel, but I normally use 3 mp because it is faster and uses less space. Optical zoom should be about 5, but more would be great.

This could be best. Saw it for $249 at Walmart. Two of the ladies selling cameras at Best Buy and Walmart own this camera.

Check Walmart and Best Buy for prices. The people at Best Buy can give you really great advise and good prices.

The second link will help you learn to clean the camera and battery contacts on any camera you buy. Digital Cameras require lots of power. If the contacts are not really good it can cause lots of problems.

I just bought the Fuji finepix s1000 about 3 months ago, and I absolutely love it, it has worked great, not one problem so far, and I lovell the options it has, its a nice size, I didn't want a tiny camera, and its lightweight when it hangs on your neck/shoulder.

I love it! I just bought one! Its really cool! Takes awesome pictures! The videos aren't amazing but good enough! and the closeup shots are AWESOME.
