  1. Driving a RWD car is like driving a stick.  If you know how to drive it, it give more control.  But if you don't know, it is worse off.

RWD  has more control over hard turns.

    Good Luck...

  2. Both are fine. It's like Chevys and Fords. Some people swear by one and some by the other.

  3. In front wheel drive vehicles, all of the drive power is in the front tires and is better for driving in snow.

Rear wheel drive tires, the power to drive is in the rear wheels and is why you can fish tail around corners in loose dirt or snow.

That is about the only real difference. FWD is better if you live in a state that snows a lot.

  4. It all depends on what you are looking for. Fwd is usually better for winter driving because of the weight over the drive tires. The rwd is good if your looking to tow things it typically can tow more than fwd and typically can withstand more abuse.

My experience is that the fwd requires more maintenance.

However both will get you where you need to go, most of it is getting use to the differences.

As far as the Lancer and looking cheap well...yes you will. But it still beats walking or taking the bus.

  5. It all depends on what you want to do with the car.  Just find a car that you like for most people either is fine.  If you are planning on racing then i would go with rear wheel.  Other than that i would do either.
