  1. I can be, although it certanly is not for everybody as i play blackjack on an almost ful time basis and HATE the game, so i would say i am far from addicted.

  2. You know I have watched all my friends go down the path of using illegal narcotics because they were all addicted.  I thought i was smart by not doing drugs.  So by myself cause all my friends were doped up i started gambling.  now most of my druggy friends are now fine and drug free.  me on the other hand have lost everything there is to lose to gambling and i cant stop.  I am not saying use drugs but i am saying do not ever start gambling.  If you ask me its the most addicting thing in the world next to s*x and mountain dew.

  3. Gambling can be habit forming if you have an addictive personality.

  4. Gambling is definitely habit forming. I believe people get addicted to gambling for the sheer thrill of winning. There is a great sense of pride and joy of winning, and a feeling of having to earn it all back when you lose. It's an emotional rollercoaster...and for a lot of people, that's what hooks them to gambling.

Gambling should be a fun, responsible activity that YOU have control over. Don't let it control you!

  7. It is definately habit forming.  Setting limits does not work for everybody.  Most gamblers set limits and break them.  You become caught up in a game of "let me just win back what I lost" and you never get ahead and just keep losing or you win some and the circle continues.

  8. Yes it can be habit forming but you've got to set a limit.
