Is gas cheaper in the US than in Canada?

The currencies between the two countries are about equal.

It is about 1.40$ per liter in Canada now and 4.00$ per gallon in the US. Then, there are 3.76L in a gallon...So, it's much cheaper in the US (as for now), right?

$5.26 a gallon in Canada and $4.00 in the U.S. so i would say yes :-)
