  1. I would say check the color... If it is not clear or a apple juice color then i would say not to use it..

Example i have not used my generator in 3 years and i left the fuel in it and failed to add a fuel stabilizer and the fuel broke done and turn into a dark brown orange color....  That would be bad fuel and should be recycled

  2. very questionable as gas today doesn't last much more than 6 months unless you add sta-bil to it.

  3. All depends on where it was stored.  If it was stored away from direct sunlight & a cool place, then it's likely OK.  Remove the cap & smell.  Should not smell skunky.

  4. It will be okay if added to other gas.  It will still burn but will not be "good as new."  You can add some octane boost to it as well

To store gas for up to a year you should add Sta-Bil gas treatment.

  5. NO gas will breakdown and loose its detergent package that can cause gummine of the fuel system as well as other issues it will not burn as fast or as clean and can cause a real pain in the neck . I would not use it for anything other than to start a fire .
