  1. Generally speaking, no. Gatorade can be consumed before you run but it will not help. Your body will not be in need of replenishment until after about 30 minutes of rigorous exercise. If you are taking the time to warm up properly and stretch before begginning the run then you should be fine with water before running. If you feel that you need carbs to boost you energy then try any brand similar to a Goo Pack. It will contain all the pre-run carbs you will need. Most of what is in Gatorade is only good for you after you are exhausted. Remember, it was designed to help the Florida Gators keep up the momentum in the rigourous heat when they were getting fatigued in the 4th quarter.


  2. Better if you drink it AFTER you run (or during if it's a long run).  The point of Gatorade and others like it is to replenish the fluids and nutrients your body loses through sweat during vigorous physical activity.

  3. i don't like to drink it too soon before i run, cos i feel as though it gets heavy in my stomach, but i dunno.  everyone is different. hahaha

  4. Yes it is i run every day and i drink Gatorade before i do. and the Gatorade helps my throat not get dry and helps me have more energy and not get little cramps from running.

  6. Its not good for you, and its not bad for you. If its hot outside and you think you have lost some energy, then the gatorade can be helpful. The main thing about gatorade is it is a drink that tastes good and cant harm your physical performance, unlike drinking a soda before you run.
