  1. Yes, Gelatin is made from the boiled bones, skins and tendons of animals. It is essentially  the collagen inside animals' connective tissue.

You can make a non-gelatin jello however: http://www.recipezaar.com/176280

  2. Yes it is, and as a vegetarian you generally want to avoid it. Besides jello, gelatin is also found in starbursts, anything glazed. Make sure to check the ingredients label.

I often describe it as "slaughterhouse waste".

  3. as far as i know it still is..

    also

Chewing gum?!! which is a bumer i know, but it contains *horse hoves* and stuff..

  4. jello brand jello is made of it but there are stores you can go to that sells organic kinds

  5. It's not from hooves (I recently found out) and it's not from horses, but gelatin is made of the bones, connective tissues, and hides of slaughtered animals, usually cows and pigs.

So, NO, you cannot eat Jello or anything else that contains gelatin.

  6. The jello that is not refridgerated (already made) and dosen't need to be does not contain gelatin.  I think it is Kool Aid brand that has it.  It tastes just a little different but it is still good.

  8. DUDE! you need the EZ-Squeeze Jello Shot Cups from Royal Penn Products, they work the best and they solve your problems! you never have to touch the jello again and you just squeeze it out! good luck!!!

  9. yes, its made out of animal parts like skins, bones and marrow.

so it definately isnt suitable to a vegetarian

    never fear!

theres a vegetarian alternative, its called agar-agar and its made out of seaweed (dw, it doesnt taste any different) so its vegetarian suited.. some jellies are made with this so you might have to do some searching

    good luck! xx

sorry i dont have any of the names but i dont eat jelly myself

  10. I always thought it was pigs trotters... not horse hooves... how would it be possible with horse hooves??

**wonders if it was one of the things her mother told her a kid to wind her up**
